Just Saying Hello!

Just in time for the ICR 7 challenge!:)..I was inspired by Clare's card and I wanted to case the fun background and created my version with the green fields, blue sky and white clouds..I used masking and distressing to create this scene and I loved the outcome:)

I made this card with my friend Divya Arjun in mind! Its been quite a few years since we were in touch and a day before making this card, I  happened to have a chat with her and that made my day:). I felt that the sentiment exactly expressed our meet after a longgg time!..I miss you Divs!..Happy Friendship Day!
I wouldn't have shared this here if not for JC and Priya (thanks girls)..and thanks to JC's challenge, I will try and make sure this card reaches her..

Pool Fun

I want to share a layout I made using the Sketch #7 from Ella Publishing. The layout features pictures of my girl having a splash at the pool:)..She loves playing in the waters and  it makes me happy to watch her enjoy and have fun:)..I loved the kraft + blue combo and throwed in a scrap of the lavendar as it sort of resembled the prints on M's swim wear!. I love seeing stitches on cards/layouts and I tried some cross-stitches on this one..but I guess handstitching is a bit difficult..

I used a part of my flourish stamp to create the images on the kraft paper to resemble waves..and the ribbon was made the way it is by pulling the center string to give the ruffles on it..luved the ruffled finish:)

I am happy to have had a crafty weekend after the hectic hours at work last week..Crafting is totally refreshing and I am all set to face the coming week:) I am sharing a card that I created for the PDCC color splash.

I embossed the images with Black Sparkle and Evergreen from Rangers (The center image is embossed in green..my poor photography does not show it clear:((..)The sentiment is handwritten and clear embossed.

Though I have held interests in crafts in my school days, they have not taken real shape until now!. I am new to the crafting world and this makes me a  young crafter because I feel that it is just the right beginning for me and I have lots to learn and be inspired from!. The theme for today's blog hop is to create a project using our favorite things. My most favorite has been Quilling and I love using stamps. I quilled these umbrellas and the rain drops for a shower card and stamped this cute frame for the sentiment.
